TRAINER REPORT
Charles Victor Tabor was born in 1869 the son of an Essex farmer who began his racing career as an amateur jockey but then decided to become a trainer in 1907. He won the Irish Derby in 1916 with Furore (SR 1935), the only horse he ever entered in the race, and went on to achieve Cesarewitch success with the same horse in 1917. He famously landed the Cesarewitch twice more, initially in 1928 with Arctic Star and finally in 1937 with Punch. He died aged 77 in 1946.
